Stelios Tsafarakis is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the School of Production Engineering and Management, Technical University of Crete. He received his Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece), his Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Southampton (UK), and his PhD from the Technical University of Crete (Greece) and Paris Dauphine (France) under a cotutelle agreement. His research interests lie in the area of marketing engineering, including consumer behavior, product line design, market segmentation, socioeconomic impact analysis, evolutionary and nature Inspired optimization algorithms. His research has been published in international refereed journals such as the International Journal of Research in Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Service Research, Annals of Operations Research, Expert Systems with Applications, and Journal of the Operational Research Society among others. He has presented his work at international refereed conferences, including AMA, EMAC, and IEEE. He has participated in several European and National research projects.
