Stelios Rozakis holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the Agricultural University of Athens, GR and he is associate professor in the School of Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Crete and visiting professor in the "MBA in Agribusiness" of Agricultural University of Athens, Greece. He was on faculty on the Agricultural University of Athens for 10 years and on research in the Public Economics Unit at INRA, France for 8 years prior to joining the Technical University of Crete.

Dr. Rozakis works in the area of operations research and economics applied to agriculture, energy and the environment and policy analysis. He has published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals among them in top OR (JORS, EJOR) and field journals (Energy Policy) and participates to the Editorial Board of the Int J of Sustainable Agricultural Management and Informatics, and the Int J of Multi-criteria Decision Making.

His responsibilities beyond teaching and research included the direction of the Graduate Program "MBA in Agribusiness" in the Agricultural University of Athens 2012-2015, and the coordination of the Technology Transfer project (www.techtransfer.aua) as well as of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program. He participates to the Advisory Board of the BIoEcon H2020 and the Proficiency FP7 project, Institute of Soil Science (IUNG), Poland, and as external evaluator of the CIRAD Biomass Group, Montpellier, France.
